The Program
We offer academic classes needed for a high school diploma. Our requirements for graduation are the same as other high schools in the State of Florida, with two exceptions: The Physical Education and Fine Arts requirements may be waived and replaced with electives.
AHS is only offered on the Main and Poinciana Campuses of ALCO.
Our classes are offered online using the Edgenuity program. While you may do most of your work at home, you MUST attend in person six (6) hours per week. All tests and quizzes must be done in person. Teacher support is available during teacher work hours. You may attend class or receive online assistance from your teachers during the following hours:
Main Campus: Monday through Friday 8:00–11:00am & 11:45am-2:45pm (Wednesdays 8:00–10:30am & 11:15am–1:45pm)
Poinciana Campus: Monday through Friday 11:45am-2:45pm (Wednesdays 11:15am–1:45pm)
Meals and transportation are not provided for ALCO students.
Computers are available in the classroom for you to use while you are on campus, but you must have your own device and Wi-Fi to work at home.

Testing Requirements
There is no test required to enroll. Once enrolled, you must take and/or pass the same state tests as K-12 high schools (FSA-ELA, Algebra 1-EOC, Geometry-EOC, U.S. History-EOC and Biology 1-EOC). Concordant scores for FSA-ELA and Algebra 1 EOC are the same. An analysis of your transcript will determine what tests are necessary. If you wish to take the SAT or ACT, please click on these links: ACT and/or SAT.
Students with IEPs or 504 Plans
Although Adult Education does not provide ESE classes, students with current or past IEP’s or 504 plans may receive accommodations. You must self-disclose your disability and schedule a meeting with Jeff Keller (Jeffery.Keller@osceolaschools.net), our Adult with Disabilities Specialist. Mr. Keller will develop a 504 plan unique to Adult Education.

Registration will be done at the time of your scheduled appointment.
