Principal's Message

Welcome to Pirate Nation!I am excited to welcome all Pirates to the 2024-2025 school year where we are Navigating to Success!I want to ensure that every scholar, every day is college and career ready, and we exhibit G.R.I.T. (Growth, Respect & Responsibility, Integrity, and Tenacity). Our PBIS program recognizes scholars that demonstrate G.R.I.T., make good choices, do well academically, have good attendance, and are on time to classes. To celebrate and reward scholars, we host special events, dress down days and have the best PBIS rewards store around!Parkway Middle School is very special to me. It is the first school I began my teaching career at over 20 years ago. Since then, I have had the opportunity to serve as a curriculum specialist, senior administrator, assistant principal and principal in Osceola, Orange, and Brevard Counties. The expression that "there is no place like home" is so true and I'm happy to be home in Osceola County. I am humbled and proud to serve as Principal at Parkway for my third year!I look forward to serving the scholars, staff, and community for the upcoming school year.We are Pirate Nation! 1...2...3...Go Pirates!!!Misty M. Cruz, Principal
