Happy New Year and welcome to the start of the 3rd quarter Mustangs!
I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable winter break and finished the 2nd quarter strong. As we embark on this new quarter, I am filled with excitement and optimism for the opportunities and growth that lie ahead.
The 3rd quarter is a pivotal time in the academic year. It is a chance for students to build on the progress they have made, set new goals, and continue to strive for excellence. We are beginning our RACE Day this quarter. Students will get focused intervention, remediation, review, and enrichment in all classes each Wednesday for the rest of the school year. We look forward to seeing our students’ growth with this focused intervention time.
Here are a few other important reminders and updates as we begin this quarter:
-
Academic Focus: Encourage your child to stay organized and keep up with their assignments. Regular attendance and active participation in class are key to academic success.
-
PBIS Activities: We have several PBIS activities that students can earn this quarter, so it’s important that students earn all As, Bs, & Cs, with no referrals, to participate. The biggest PBIS activity being the Gradventure trip that our 8th graders earn during the 3rd quarter. We encourage students and parents to check the Focus portal often, stay focused in class and follow all schoolwide and classroom expectations for behavior.
-
Health and Safety: As always, the health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority. Please remind your child to follow all school guidelines and protocols.
-
Community Involvement: We encourage parents and guardians to get involved in school activities and events. Your support and engagement are vital to our school's success.
Let's make this 3rd quarter a time of growth, learning, and achievement. Together, we can ensure that every student has a successful and rewarding experience.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Your very proud principal,
C. Harrell
