Military Families
Welcome to our Military Families
-
Welcome to the School District of Osceola County. We are proud to serve a large population of military personnel and military-connected families in schools across our district.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you and your families for the sacrifices you make to keep our country safe. We are dedicated to serving you, as you serve us.
We are honored to provide you and your children, our students, with preferential treatment in our controlled open enrollment process. You can inform us of your military status by checking the appropriate box on your School Choice Application.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your service.

Foster Care Placement
Fostering a child creates an opportunity to be a positive influence in a child’s life. The School District of Osceola County is honored to partner with foster families to promote stability in the lives of our students.
You can inform us of your foster family by selecting the appropriate box on your School Choice Application.
-
Change in Custody
In our effort to provide stability to the academic lives of our students, children who moved due to a court-ordered change in custody due to a recent separation or divorce, or the serious illness or death of a custodial parent may request preferential enrollment.
The student must be in good standing with the district. Furthermore, the school must have Choice seats available. If the selected school has reached capacity, the student will be placed on a waitlist. The preferential enrollment will be considered at the time a Choice seat becomes available.

Siblings Placement
The School District of Osceola County makes every effort to accommodate the placement of a sibling to any student already enrolled in a school if space is available and if the student meets admission criteria, if applicable.
