Architecture and Construction

Look around.  The buildings in which we live, learn, work and shop are all products of the architecture and construction industry.  Architects are licensed professionals who design and develop concepts for buildings and other structures and then work with construction professionals to create the finished product.  In addition to the physical appearance of the building, architects must also ensure that they are functional, safe, economical and environmentally friendly.  In addition to creating new structures and "Green" buildings, architects and construction workers are also responsible for modification, additions, maintenance and repair of existing houses, offices and other buildings.

    Our mission:
Architecture & Construction prepares students for employment and/or continuing education opportunities in building trades through technical instruction in the classroom, experiential education through the laboratory and leadership and personal development in student leadership organizations.
