Welcome to Middle School Curriculum & Instruction
-
Our Mission: To provide leadership in curriculum, instruction, and assessment that inspires all learners to reach their highest potential as responsible, productive citizens.
The Middle School Philosophy: To lead the learning and achievement of all students through exceptional customer service to schools, other departments, and the community in a caring, professional, and sensitive manner.
We believe that all middle school students benefit from rigorous, “real-world”, engaging learning experiences that prepare them for successful futures. Teachers are the single most important influence on the quality of learning. Learning experiences take place in classroom environments where trust, mutual respect, and support exists. Each individual is unique and of infinite value; therefore, we embrace and celebrate diversity. Self-respect, equity, respect, and trust are indispensable to the academic success of all of our students. Parents and community are valued partners in providing educational opportunities to its youth. We encourage parents to become involved. Whether it is helping the teacher, chaperoning field trips, or participating in the School Advisory Council (SAC), there are a lot of ways for parents to participate. Contact your child's school and ask how you can become involved.
