SAC & PAC
WHAT IS PAC?
Would you like to become more involved in your child´s school? At Hickory Tree Elementary we have an organization called The Parent Advisory Council or PAC. We would love new members to join our efforts to help our school become the best it can possibly be.
This volunteer organization helps better our school community in multiple ways. We help in the beautification of our school, fundraising efforts, coordinating social festivities, and teacher appreciation events. For the parents who would love to volunteer or become more involved, this is your opportunity.
Our meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of every month at 3:50pm, immediately following the School Advisory Council meeting. In an attempt to meet the needs of all our families, we have the meetings on the same days and times.
At these meetings we discuss important issues at our school and formulate new ways we can contribute to our school community.
As a member of PAC you will know that you have contributed to your child´s school on a much more personal level and will show your child that their school is important to you.
We hope that you will consider joining us at our upcoming meetings and future school events.
WHAT IS SAC?
What is SAC? SAC is the School Advisory Council which is a team of people representing segments of the community including parents, teachers, administrators, support personnel, business, and other interested community members.
The purpose of SAC is to assist in the preparation, developing, and evaluation of the annual school improvement plan and to assist the principal with the school budget.
Funding for the School Advisory Council should be used to implement the School Improvement Plan based on measurable performance indicators.
The Council is empowered to truly impact the educational experience at Hickory Tree Elementary School.
Please join a SAC meeting this year. The meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month at 3:50pm in the Hickory Tree media center.
Hope to see you there!
