• Road to Graduation

     

    Cap & Gown Ordering

    • All cap and gown orders must be placed through Herff Jones by Thursday, April 17, 2025.
    • Orders placed after the deadline must be purchased in person during distribution.
    • Ensure all information is filled out completely, listing Liberty High School as your school.
    • Payment is required before receiving your cap and gown.
    • Distribution will occur Thursday, May 1st, and Friday, May 2nd, during lunch.

     

    Outstanding Debts

    • All debts must be settled by Friday, May 9, 2025.
    • Check with each department to confirm that no monies or materials are owed.
    • Graduation tickets will not be distributed to graduating scholars who owe any obligation(s).

    To ensure your name is pronounced correctly during the ceremony:

     

    Graduation Rehearsal (Mandatory Attendance)

    Graduating scholars must attend all three rehearsals to receive your graduation tickets and participate in the graduation ceremony.

    Rehearsal Schedule (LHS Gymnasium)

    • Friday, May 16, 2025: 08:00 am – 01:00 pm
    • Monday, May 19, 2025: 08:00 am – 10:45 am
    • Tuesday, May 20, 2025: 08:00 am – 10:45 am (Class of 2025 attire encouraged)

     Rehearsal Guidelines

    • All graduation requirements must be met to attend rehearsal: 2.0 (or higher) GPA, required credits earned, and ELA & Algebra I assessment requirements met.
    • Check-in begins at 07:30 am each day. Arriving after 08:00 am will count as an absence.
    • All graduating scholars must be in school dress code. Any scholars not in dress code will be dismissed and marked absent for that rehearsal.
    • If you miss any rehearsal, you will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
    • Graduation requirements and outstanding debts will be checked daily at rehearsal.
    • Guest Tickets: Eligible graduating scholars will receive 10 tickets each on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the conclusion of rehearsal. No extra tickets will be available.

     

    Graduation Dress Code

    Options:

    • A dress (any color) that does not extend beyond gown sleeve length, gown length, and neckline, OR
    • A blouse with long navy or black dress pants (NO jeans), OR
    • Any color dress shirt, any color tie/bowtie, and navy or black dress pants (NO jeans).

    Shoes:

    • Flat black shoes (No tennis/athletic shoes, heels, or wedges).
    • Black sandals with black straps are allowed.
    • Scholars will be walking on steep stairs before the ceremony begins.

     

     Stoles, Cords, & Medals Policy

    Approved Stoles – Only for members of:

    • Black Student Union (Executive Board)
    • Latinos in Action (Executive Board)
    • Student Government Association (Executive Board)
    • Valencia College Associate in Arts Degree recipients

    Approved Cords – Recognizing members of:

    • AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination)
    • Black Student Union
    • Career & Technical Education (Industry Certifications)
    • Fine & Performing Arts (AP Arts, Band, Chorus, & Theater)
    • High Academic Achievements
    • Latinos in Action
    • Liberty Ambassadors
    • National Honor Society
    • Student Government Association
    • Yearbook

    Other organizations are NOT permitted to wear stoles or cords.

    Cap Decorations

    Graduating scholars must follow these guidelines when decorating their graduation caps.

    • All designs must be approved before Friday, May 9, 2025 by Ms. Morgan via email at  shaquana.morgan@osceolaschools.net.
    • All final decorated caps must have Ms. Morgan’s signature no later than Friday, May 16, 2025.
    • Failure to comply will result in being issued a replacement cap at your expense.

    Not Allowed (examples):

    • Offensive language, sayings, pictures, or lyrics
    • 3D decorations (stuffed animals, bells, lights, flowers, etc.)
    • Noisemaking decorations (bells, horns, etc.)
    • Decorations extending above eye level

     Allowed (examples):

    • Thanking a parent, grandparent, teacher, or guardian
    • Recognizing the college/university you will be attending

     

    Graduation Ceremony Rules

    • Graduating scholars must be in proper attire and wear their cap and gown.
    • No cell phones or electronic devices allowed during the ceremony. If brought, they will be confiscated and must be picked up at Liberty High School.
    • Graduating scholars will enter Osceola Heritage Park through the EAST entrance.

     

     Graduation Ceremony Details

    • Date & Time: Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 09:30 am
    • Location: Osceola Heritage Park – Silver Spurs Arena
    • Doors open one hour before the ceremony.
    • Graduate Arrival: Scholars must arrive by 08:00 am, dressed in cap & gown, at the EAST SIDE of Osceola Heritage Park—on Bill Beck Blvd. (across from Gateway High School).
    • Security Screening:
      • No cell phones or electronic devices allowed.
      • Security wands will be used at check-in.

     Guest Information

    • A ticket is required for all guests over the age of 2.
    • Guests will enter through the front entrance and undergo security screening.
    • Only clear bags/purses are allowed. All bags will be inspected.

     Prohibited Items

    • Balloons, flowers, airhorns, bells, megaphones, noise makers
    • Weapons of any kind
    • Outside food and beverages

     Suite Reservations

    • Private suites are available for purchase.
    • Contact Osceola Heritage Park at (321) 697-3333 for reservations.

     

    Diploma Pick-Up

    • Dates TBD – Guidance Office
    • Dates TBD – Front Office (07:00 am - 03:00 pm)
    • Must bring ID or have an enrolling parent/guardian (as listed in FOCUS) present to pick up the diploma.

     

    Failure to meet rehearsal attendance and dress code requirements may result in exclusion from the graduation ceremony.
