What are Horizon Middle's expectations for digital learning students?
Digital learning students should have access to a device that will support Microsoft TEAMS. Microsoft TEAMS is the free platform we will be using to interact with our students throughout the course of the school year for all student Lectures and Assignments.
Students can access Microsoft TEAMS through Classlink.
Credentials for Classlink are as follows:
Username: studentID#@student.osceolaschools.net
Password: studentLoginPassword
*If your student needs help with their credentials, or are unable to login, please contact the Digital Hotline at (407) 870-4037 or Horizon Middle School at (407) 943-7240.Once your student is logged into classlink make sure they are able to launch Microsoft TEAMS from the Office 365 app or preferably the desktop application.
- Students must be in compliance with the district's dress code policy.
- They should be logged in at least 10 minutes to prior to the start of 1st period, which begins at 9:20.
- Students will then follow Horizon's daily Bell Schedulewith the same attendance and punctuality expectations as if they were in school physically.
- Students will have a separate Microsoft TEAM for each class period.
They will join the Team meetings created by their teachers throughout the school day to interact with their teachers in live lessons and complete activities for each class.

How is attendance taken for digital learning students?
Each period, the digital teacher will take attendance of those students who are logged into their class meeting on Microsoft TEAMS.

How do I get my student's progress reports and report cards?
All progress reports and report cards can be viewed through the Focus Parent Portal. For detailed instructions, please view the following document: Viewing and Printing Report Cards. If you do not currently have a Focus Parent Portal account, please go to THIS website for information on how to gain access to Focus.

What is my student expected to do during lunch?
During their assigned lunch period, students can take a break to enjoy their lunch at home. If students are in need, the School District may be able to provide a school lunch. Click HERE to sign up for the curbside meal program for digital learners.
