BACE
  • Students may have the opportunity to earn their Biotechnician Assistant Credential in the 3rd year of the program by taking their Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam.   This credential is based on foundational concepts and skills required in biotechnology-based workplace settings.  It is a written and practical exam aligned with academic and performance standards.  It has industry recognition via BioFlorida and has been approved by Florida’s Board of Education and approved by Florida’s Agency for Workforce Innovation.  Passing the exam also can earn students credit at various colleges in Florida.

Students need to earn an 80% on the exam to pass.  Currently CHS has a pass rate about 10% higher than the national average pass rate.
