Healthy Habits. Super Savings.
-
- The Wellness Incentive Program provides and incentivizes employees for completion of a variety of preventative care check-ups, participation in different wellness programs, and even volunteering in your community. Each activity will help you earn points towards earning the Wellness Incentive. Employees that achieve 100 Points will see no increase in premiums for the upcoming benefits year.
-
Why complete the Wellness Incentive?
- You will save on your health plan premiums. For example: The Healthy Advantage Plus plan without wellness is $75 per paycheck. If you’ve earned the 100 wellness points, you will only pay $50 per paycheck. The chart below demonstrates the various ways to save by completing the wellness incentive!
-
- Getting routine preventive care can help you stay well and catch problems early, helping you live a longer, healthier life.
- Regular checkups are separate from any other doctor’s visit for sickness or injury. In addition to physical exams, these visits focus on preventive care, such as:
- Screening tests, which are medical tests to check for diseases early, when they may be easier to treat.
- Services, like vaccines (shots), that improve your health by preventing diseases and other health problems.
- Dental cleanings.
- Education and counseling to help you make informed health decisions.
Who is eligible to participate in the Wellness Incentive Program?
- Employees who are enrolled in the medical plan through The School District of Osceola County. Covered dependents under your health plan are not required to earn points to receive the discount. *Any employee hired in the current plan year and enroll in benefits will automatically be awarded the incentive for that plan year. These employees must still earn 100 wellness points by July 31st of that plan to year to retain the incentive for the next plan year. If the employee is hired in May, June, or July of the current plan year, they will automatically earn the incentive for the next plan year.
What is the timeframe to earn my wellness incentive discount?
- The period to earn your wellness incentive points for the next plan year is between August 1st and July 31 of the current plan year.
The Wellness Incentive Activities focus on Preventative Care!
