• Battle of the Books

    Battle of the Books is a team that we form each year for students who want to join a reading club.  We meet once a week to read independently or together and do different activities associated with the Sunshine State Readers 3-5.  We call it the Battle of the Books because by mid-February or the beginning of March we will be battling other elementary schools in our knowledge of the books. Our team will compete and answer questions about the SSYRA 3-5 books and try to out answer the other elementary schools in the district.

    If you are in 3rd-5th grade and are interested in joining our Battle of the Books team, you have come to the right place.  In order to become a part of our team, you must be dedicated to reading as many of the SSYRA 3-5 books as possible.  You should also be able to stay after school once a week.  As the school year begins, there will be more information on the day of the week and the time that we will meet each week.
