Bethzaida Garcia is a dedicated community leader with over 25 years of experience as an educator, victim advocate, and communicator. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Ana G. Mendez University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, and Education from Turabo University in Puerto Rico. Throughout her career, Bethzaida has prioritized the safety and well-being of students and staff. She began her journey in education as a teacher assistant for special needs students at Osceola High School and later served as an ESE teacher at Poinciana High School. During this time, she recognized the importance of a holistic approach to education, emphasizing teacher innovation, parental involvement, and student engagement.

Beyond the classroom, Bethzaida is deeply committed to advocacy and community outreach. She is the founder of Life in Your Hands, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence, child and elder abuse, bullying, and sexual assault through various media platforms. She also spearheaded the Mujer Segura seminar, educating leaders and communities on abuse prevention and its widespread impact.

Bethzaida’s passion for empowering children led her to create the Princess/Knight program, which teaches wellness, self-sufficiency, and confidence to young girls and boys. She actively collaborates with churches, as well as public and private organizations, offering workshops, counseling services, and self-defense classes to individuals and families across Central Florida and Puerto Rico.

In addition to her advocacy work, Bethzaida serves as a community liaison for a local radio station and works as the Public Education Coordinator for Osceola County Fire Rescue and EMS. Her unwavering dedication has earned her recognition from various organizations and public figures, solidifying her reputation as an exceptional leader.

When not engaged in community service, Bethzaida enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their growing family, including their children and grandchildren. She often participates in outdoor activities and charity cycling events, further demonstrating her commitment to health, wellness, and community engagement.
