Jon, is married to Nichole Arguello, and dad to five kids, Isabella, Emma, Jonathan, Ave, and Hallow, and one dog, a Rottweiler named Prudence.

He sits on the advisory board for three corporations. He is an entrepreneur at heart with expertise in leadership, strategic communications, market share competition, business operations and processes, government relations, construction, and development. He began his career as a writer and journalist winning several writing awards.

Jon served in the United States Army for more than five years, deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Afghanistan twice with the most highly decorated unit in the War on Terror, the 173rd Airborne Brigade. He was a Public Affairs Specialist who won various journalism awards while serving as his command.

Jon has graduated from Barry University School of Law with a J.D., Magna cum laude from Rollins College, where he was named Outstanding International Affairs Student, Valencia Community College, where he won a Pacemaker Award for Excellence at the Collegiate Press Association, and the Defense Information School in Ft. Meade, Md. He is also a graduate of the Orlando Economic Partnership Political Leadership Institute.

Born in San Francisco, California, Jon moved to Central Florida as a child and bought a home in District 3 upon returning from his military service in 2008. Two of his children recently graduated from Osceola County Public Schools and he now has three college going adult children who attend UCF, USF, and Valencia. He is a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Jon is passionate about service, whether service to nation, church, or community. He has served on the Kissimmee Firemen Pension Board, TECO (Osceola Technology & Vocational School) Digital Design Advisory Board, Diocese of Orlando Catholic School Board, Diocese of Orlando Communications Advisory Board, as a Board member for Osceola Voices for Children (Guardian ad Litem). He spent more than 10 years coaching little league and youth soccer for various age groups. He currently serves on the 9th Congressional District Veteran’s Advisory Board and the United States Military Academy Nomination Board. He serves on the FSBA’s Equity Committee.
