• Welcome to Professional Development

    The Professional Development Department Staff:

    • Maintain and provide support in the My Professional Growth System (MyPGS) which manages employee professional learning and inservice credit record
    • Provide support to schools and departments in the development, implementation, and evaluation of professional learning courses
    • Provide support to educators in development and implementation of Individual Professional Growth Plans
    • Collaborate with Professional Development Leads from each school through the Professional Development Council for Instructional Staff
    • Collaborate with Professional Development PSS representatives from departments through the PSS Professional Development Council
    • Provide support to educators new to Osceola County through mentor programs, New Teacher Orientation, and New Educator Symposium
    • Provide courses for add-on certifications in the areas of ESE, ESOL, Reading and Gifted
    • Collaborate with other district departments to provide Professional Development Days for Instructional and Professional Support Staff
    • Provide district professional development through the Title II, Part A Federal Program
    • Develop partnerships with Colleges and Universities
