HEALTH OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH PHYSICAL EDUCATION (HOPE)
The purpose of this course is to develop and enhance healthy behaviors that influence lifestyle choices and student health and fitness.

FITNESS LIFE-STYLE DESIGN
The purpose of this course is to provide students with opportunities to extend the acquisition of knowledge of physical fitness concepts, acquire knowledge of designing, implementing and evaluating a personal fitness program, and develop an individual optimal level of physical fitness.

WEIGHT TRAINING
The purpose of this course is to provide students with opportunities to acquire basic knowledge and skills in weight training that may be used in physical fitness pursuits today, as well as in later life. The course is designed to improve muscular strength, endurance, and to enhance body image.

TEAM SPORTS I
The purpose of this course is to provide students with opportunities to acquire knowledge of team sports play,
develop skills in selected team sports, and to maintain and/or improve their personal fitness. -
AEROBICS
The purpose of this course is to develop an individual optimal level of cardiovascular fitness, and acquire knowledge of cardiovascular concepts and the significance of cardiovascular fitness on one’s health.

VOLLEYBALL
The purpose of this course is to acquire knowledge and skills in volleyball and maintain and/or improve health-related fitness.

CARE & PREVENTION OF ATHLETIC INJURIES
The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop knowledge of the anatomy and physiology related to athletic injuries and skills related to the nature, prevention,care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. This course is taken during semester one and is a prerequisite for the course First Aid and Safety taken during semester two.
