• Hello Knights Point K8 Parents!

My name is Christopher Pollard. I am the middle school P.E. teacher and am the K8 Athletic Director. I had the pleasure of speaking with many of you during Meet the Teacher, but I wanted to reach out to all parents to let them know about our athletic programs here at Knights Point K-8.

We will be offering after-school sports for all grades K-8. The sport selections for K-5 are Cross Country, Soccer, and Track and Field. The sport offerings for 6-8 are Cross Country, Soccer, Coed Competitive Cheer, Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Field, and Flag Football. The seasons will be starting soon for K-5 Cross Country and 6-8 Cross Country and Soccer.

I have taken this opportunity to attach a couple of PDF's and links where you will find out how to register for after school athletics. The "Athletic Info Packet" with the attached QR codes sends you as a parent /guardian to a PDF file with the academic eligibility requirements and instructions on how to register your student on Aktivate. Aktivate is the website the district uses to properly register your athlete and submit all of the required medical and signed documents. The provided instructions are available in both English and Spanish. The registration must be completed and approved before any participation, including try-outs, can take place.

In addition, the ImPACT Baseline Concussion test instructions for our 6-8 grade student athletes. They MUST complete the concussions baseline test prior to to any athletic participation, including tryouts. The instructions on how to complete them have been attached, as well.

    Thank you!

    Christopher Pollard
