Students and Parents Invited To "Explore the More" with Virtual Open Houses For Incoming Kindergartners

Kindergarten registration season is in full swing in the Osceola School District, and incoming kindergartners and their parents are invited to become familiar with their schools for the 2021-2022 school year with Virtual Open Houses that will launch on FlipGrid on March 24, 2021. The information on the sites will be available on-demand through the start of school in August at

Students and parents will get to see what a day in the life of a kindergartner looks like at their school, meet the school principal, see the innovative programs and offerings at their school, get an overview of the kindergarten curriculum, learn helpful tips on what children can do in advance to be "kinder-ready," and even find a list of books to read over summer about starting kindergarten.

“This is an opportunity for families to learn more about our district's outstanding kindergarten program and curriculum, and to find the school that best meets their child’s interests and academic needs,” says Superintendent Dr. Debra Pace. “It is just as important for moms and dads to feel comfortable with their children’s school environment as it is for the children.  I am confident that the Osceola School District has more of everything that parents want in a high-quality education for their children.”

Parents who have not yet registered their child for kindergarten in an Osceola County school are encouraged to visit their home-zoned school or the district-managed school that they will be attending through School Choice today to complete the enrollment process for next school year.  For more information on the enrollment process, parents are encouraged to visit
