Osceola County School Board Reaches Tentative Agreement with Teamsters on Salary Increases for School-Related Employees In Their Bargaining Unit
The Osceola County School Board and Teamsters Local 385 have reached tentative agreement on $875,000 in salary increases for all school-related employee groups in their bargaining unit for the 2020-2021 school year. Working within budgetary constraints and in uncertain economic conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic, both parties agreed to the following terms:
A one-time, non-recurring retention supplement equal to three percent (3%) of the employee’s annual base salary and
Two (2) additional paid non-work days for twelve (12) month employees (Rodeo Day and one additional day during Spring Break)
The tentative agreement will now go to employees in the Teamster bargaining unit for a ratification vote and then to the School Board for approval.
“The Osceola County School Board and I are anxious to see these dollars reach the hands and homes of our dedicated professional support employees who have been on the front line working alongside our teachers and administrators through the pandemic,” said Superintendent Dr. Debra Pace. "The important work they do in support of our students, teachers, and schools has ensured that learning never stops in the Osceola School District."
