Kaitlyn Haslam is a Junior at Osceola County School for the Arts and is dual enrolled at Valencia College. Although Kaitlyn has an exceptionally busy schedule she has always found time to think of ways to help people in her community.

The week before Valentine’s Day, Kaitlyn’s desk was covered with pink and red cardstock and heart shaped foam stickers as she hand made over 100 Valentine’s cards.

These cards were delivered to the senior citizens at a local nursing home in Kissimmee. Kaitlyn’s hopes the cards show our senior citizens that someone loves them and that they are not forgotten.

Kaitlyn also delivered cards to the Cancer Institute Infusion Center this year, a place all too familiar to her family as her Mom has been fighting cancer for the last year. Kaitlyn knows that receiving chemotherapy is not a pleasant experience.

She says if she can show cancer patients through a heartfelt card that someone is thinking of them, it may brighten their day just a little. #SDOCGoodtoGreat
