Statement from the Osceola County School District regarding NIL for High School Students
On June 4, 2024, the Florida High School Athletic Association’s (FHSAA) Board of Directors unanimously approved the revision of FHSAA Bylaw 9.9, Amateurism, to include Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL).

Medical Opt-In Selection for Students
Parents, please be aware that the Osceola School District's medical option form has been changed for the 2024-2025 school year. The new form requires parents to opt-in to any medical services for their children, instead of opting out as in years past.

Dear Westside K8 School Community,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and relaxation. As we step into 2025, I am thrilled to welcome back our returning Warriors and extend a warm welcome to the new members of our Westside community. We are excited to have you join us and look forward to a fantastic year ahead.
As we return to school this January, I want to remind everyone of the critical importance of regular school attendance. Consistent attendance is essential for academic success and personal development. Each day at school offers valuable learning experiences, opportunities for social interaction, and the development of crucial skills. When students attend school regularly, they are more likely to achieve their academic goals, build strong relationships, and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
We are returning with six more instructional days for Quarter 2. This is a valuable opportunity for students to show their best effort in learning. During the first two weeks, we will complete make-up assessments and analyze student progress in preparation for the upcoming third quarter. Mid-year assessment data will be used to determine the best instructional strategies, interventions, and acceleration for each child. It is important for students to take every opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to their education and strive for excellence.
We look forward to seeing our students showing PRIDE (Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence) as they return to school for the second semester. Your partnership and involvement in your child’s education are invaluable, and we are excited to continue working together to support our students’ success.
