    Mu Alpha Theta (MATH) Club is a club at Poinciana High School that participates in challenges and competitions around the district that require advanced mathematical thinking and problem solving abilities to solve mathematical problems and equations!

    Post-Secondary Careers Involving Mathematics

    Aerospace Engineer - Aerospace engineers evaluate designs to see that the products meet engineering principles. Aerospace engineers design, develop, and test aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles. In addition, they create and test prototypes to make sure that they function according to design.

    Accountant - An Accountant helps businesses make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company's finances.

    Math Professor - A mathematics professor is an educator with specialized content expertise in mathematics. Distinct from someone who teaches math to elementary, middle and high school students, a mathematics professor works at the college level, teaching at community colleges or four-year universities.

    Astronomer - Astronomers study planets, stars, and other celestial bodies. They use ground-based equipment, such as optical telescopes, and space-based equipment, such as the Hubble Space Telescope.
