Working in Teams
Working in Teams
Microsoft Teams gives students and teachers an online platform for conversations, file sharing, collaboration, and assignments. This section will walk you through getting started with working and completing assignments in Teams. Resources below include videos, step-by-step tutorials, and downloadable guides.
How to Get Started in Teams
1. Access Teams through either ClassLink or by starting the Windows 10 App.
Or use this link:
https://launchpad.classlink.com/osceola
If a student needs to log in
Student Email:
ID#@student.osceolaschools.net
2. Once Teams is open, students may need to join their Class Team using a class code provided by their teacher(s).
3. If students are already added to a Class Team, the class will appear under Your Teams as a tile. Click on one of the team tiles to enter the class.
4. Once a student clicks on a Class Team, they will enter the main Teams workspace. Here is an overview:
How to Complete an Assignment in Teams
1. On the left, you will see Assignments as part of the Class Tools.
For ease of access, the Class Tools will always be visible on the left below the class name and will be where students find their work.
2. Inside of Assignments, students will find assignments from their teachers. Students can click on the assignment name to view and complete the assigned tasks.
3. For this assignment, the teacher attached a Word document for the student to complete. Students can open the document by clicking on it to complete the assignment.
4. Word documents (and other Microsoft formats) open within the Teams platform natively, so students have easy access to editing. Students can now type in or mark their answers directly on the Word document.
The document auto-saves as students work. When finished, click the close button on the top right-hand corner.
5. Back on the assignment screen, students have the option to:
- Continue editing their work at another time.
- Turn in their work by clicking on the purple Turn In button.
6. After the assignment has been graded, students can check their scores and feedback by selecting the Completed tab and then clicking on the assignment again.
7. When the assignment reopens, students can see their grade and any feedback about their work.
If allowed by the teacher, students can make additional changes to their work and turn it in again.
