Educational System Impact Fees

  • Educational System Impact Fees are vital to the School District in meeting our ever-increasing demands on educational facilities and the School District's ability to accommodate additional students.  Educational System Impact Fee revenues can only be used for new capacity or capacity expansion projects and are levied against new development to fund capacity consumed by new growth. In the past five years, Island Village Elementary, Canoe Creek K-8 Expansion, Harmony Middle School, NeoCity Academy, and Poinciana High School Business Academy were constructed. The following projects are funded and scheduled to open within the next three years: K-8 School "AA", K-8 School "BB", K-8 School "CC", High School "AAA", NeoCity classroom wing addition, and St. Cloud High School classroom wing addition. All of the projects would not have been possible without the revenue generated by the collection of Educational System Impact Fees.
